I could not agree more! “Myth: 82% thought that teaching children in their preferred learning style could improve learning outcomes. This approach is commonly justified in terms of brain function, despite educational and scientific evidence demonstrating that the learning-style approach is not helpful (Kratzig & Arbuthnott 2006).” Check The Myth of Learning Styles article and infographic to find more! https://elearningindustry.com/the-myth-of-learning-styles

The approach to leaning may be more dependent upon what is required. To identify bird sounds you need to use auditory learning. To learn how to throw a ball you need to use a kinesethetic approach. To identify flags you need to use a visual approach. As educators we need to use evidence based approaches not what is populist myth. In his book "Make it Stick" Peter Brown tries to tackle the myth of learning styles. Also read this article from the Guardian posted below. By sticking to a preferred learning style are we actually limiting the growth of our learners? I don't usually comment but this type of infographic needs to be challenged and discussed. https://www.theguardian.com/education/2017/mar/13/teachers-neuromyth-learning-styles-scientists-neuroscience-education
